There are many claims on the internet these days where companies and individuals guarantee you a number one spot on major search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. The mystery question here is “IS IT POSSIBLE?”

The answer can be ‘Yes’ and ‘No’. To be more precise we need to understand how these major search engines come up with their search results for specific keywords. To solve this mystery of Google rankings we first need to understand how Google picks up relevant search results for their respective keywords.

According to Google, they traverse the World Wide Web in real time using crawlers or ‘Googlebots’ and index a list of all the words and where they are located on the respective web page, they also index information about links from those pages and so on.

Google’s average query response time is roughly one-fourth of a second. Google technologies like autocomplete and Google Instant, will help you find the search terms and results you’re looking for before you’re even finished typing.

We need to follow standard and ethical guidelines to make sure that Google and other search engines rank our web pages appropriately.
